Grandpa's Birthday

October 2nd is your Grandfathers Birthday. It's obvious that you have a special place for him, because anytime you hear his voice, not matter where you are (church included) you start looking for him and most of the time start yelling his name (in baby language of course). As far as I've seen, only your dad get's that kind of treatment.

Follow Your Dreams

Yesterday, at your first dentist appointment, I was watching a show on TV and I saw a 9 year old boy that was Dj-ing. Like DJ-ing like an adult. At the young age of 9, he had already opened up concerts for multiple celebrities. And of course, I thought of you.

My prayer for you is that you find your passion, your dreams, your talents at a young age and work hard at it so that it makes a positive difference in your generation. No matter how big or small, our gifts/talents/passions - that come from God, should be used to bless others and in some cases can lead to a career.

One thing that I've noticed about you (in your 13 months of life), is that you LOVE to dance. I mean anytime a song comes on, you do your little dance. It's so cute! I'm going to record it and put it on your website. As  you get older, I promise to invest in the things that you enjoy doing so that I'm doing my part to help you follow your dreams.

Picture Perfect

This picture cracks me up every time I look at it, lol. But it also reminds me to appreciate the imperfections of life. This is by no means a perfect shot, but it is picture perfect. Sometimes the best things in life are unexpected and non-traditional. I hope you don't get mad at me for posting this picture, lol. :) :) :)

God has been to good to you/us. Your first year of life has been remarkable and I truly thank God for that. I've watched you grow from eating, sleeping, and pooping to a little girl with personality and lots of love and kisses to give. I'm so grateful for your life and I will continue to sing God Praises when I think of His faithfulness.

Happy Birthday to you. I pray that you will grow in strength, in good health, in love, in wisdom and in God's purpose for your life.

It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted something here. I've been planning your 1st birthday and I've found some wonderful ideas! I'm definitely more excited then you are, lol.

Your 1st birthday is a Celebration. A Celebration of God's Goodness and Faithfulness.

I'm in awe every time I think about my pregnancy/your birth. It seems so unreal. A Miracle. But it's a reminder of God being God  in all of His Awesomeness.

You are worth celebrating and I pray that God will grant us many, many, many (to infinity) celebrations! In Jesus Name!

You're 9 months and you've already been to 6 states and 2 countries (well, you were still in my belly for two of the visits,  but I think it counts!)

You've also visited Japan (in my belly) and Nigeria (and boy did you have fun!).

I want you to see the world. 

Not only does travelling help us to be more well rounded, but it also creates lifetime memories.

When I was younger, we used to take road trips every summer. That's probably why I love travelling so much now. #GoodTimes

As I write this to encourage you, I'm also using it to encourage myself. They often say that the wealthiest place on earth is the grave yard because so many people die without pursuing their ideas and dreams. It's true. Fear of "something" prevents a lot of people (including me) on acting on those ideas.

Well, hopefully I'm here to stay. . .again.

I was motivated today by a friend who said that she writes notes to her twin girls so that her memories, thoughts, prayers will always be with them. I love the idea. So here I am. . . again. LOL. (I wonder if LOL. . laugh out loud) will still be in use 10, 15,20, 50 years from now. #random)

Today I dropped off my princess at daycare and the owner of the Goddard School we attend said that she was one of the happiest, most calm babies he has seen in awhile. I smiled. My heart smiled because our baby girl is truly a gift.

Low key (Rolake and Riyike would be proud of me for using that word), I think her personality comes from her dad. He is the friendliest, most calm, down to earth guy I know. He has this thing about him. . . he gets along with everyone. . .I mean everyone!!! Natural born leader I must say. 

Seems like our baby girl is already displaying some of these qualities. Calm, Friendly, Everyone loves you. . . someone said "I like holding your baby, she doesn't cry like some of the other ones do", lol.

I thank God for our "Gift from God" everyday. She truly is a blessing and I love her so much!
